Rippercross is a professionally produced and sanctioned electric stability bike series focused on delivering world-class competition to kids ages 5-6. It consists of (3) regional races and (1) National Championship to make up a 3 event schedule. Rippercross is its own brand but marketed and promoted primarily under the Electrify Expo umbrella. All 2024 race events take place within Electrify Expo festivals.
Points are calculated at each regional race by final race position and tabulated to offer entrants a leaderboard of finishers. Each event provides points regionally to qualify to be selected for an invitation to the National Championship in Austin. A podium will be located at each event for a post race celebration as well as final post-race interviews.
The track for Rippercross is constructed completely from dirt and shaped by our production team. The track is designed to be safe, fun, and competitive complete with rollers, tabletops, and banked turns. Each racer within their age group will be assigned a pit location to prepare for practice, qualifying and race day.
Each entrant will be invited to participate in practice laps prior to qualifying. Practice & Qualifying will take place on Saturday and include multiple rounds. Race day will take place on Sunday and consist of multiple heats per age group, leading to a final main event based on previous heat results. The 2023 Rippercross Rulebook can be accessed by clicking HERE.
On-site ALS teams are located adjacent to the track and will be closely monitoring each lap, this includes an on-site ambulance. Life flight logistics will be designated into each event’s emergency management plan. Course workers will oversee the track, aiding riders where needed, using designated racing flags and assist with track pacing when necessary.
A reality show will be produced to cover the on and off track stories that naturally develop. All entrants, by way of their submission to race, authorize our video production teams to document their experiences. Footage will come via on-track action as well as camera crews that document interaction between participants in the pits, as well as isolated one-on-one interviews. Little Rippers will be filmed by the same production crew responsible for reality shows aired on Discovery and SPEED, as well as Live Sports on NBC and Fox. The show will air initially on Youtube and then seek other forms of distribution.
